Stephen Bradley, also known as sxxnt. (pronounced ‘Saint’), is the founder of Amen Worldwide and a seasoned producer. He collaborates with various musical friends to create unique soundscapes by reworking and reframing church songs into genres such as lo-fi and chillhop. In many ways, the current instrumental lo-fi landscape would not be what it is today without him.
I am highlighting his instrumental lo-fi project, Hymns in High-Fidelity, released in August 2023. It is a collaborative album, Brother Joe, containing lo-fi interpretations of popular hymns. There are tracks with minimal hushed vocals, but it is mostly an instrumental project.
