Monthly Recap for April 2023
Tina Boonstra, Madison Ryann Ward, Jervis Campbell and more.
Hi Pal.
Welcome to the monthly wrap for April! The Monthly Wrap is a monthly newsletter where I give a rundown of my favourite musical highlights of the past month.
Under The Lights
I feel like I say this with every one of these, but it’s really shaping up to be a stellar musical year. Tina Boonstra finally released her debut album, Circle Back, Start Again, and it's a lovely indie pop record that will be on repeat for a while. Sticking to the debut-records theme, Madison Ryann Ward also dropped her album, A New Thing, which has been my most anticipated R&B album of the year.
Christian Alternative and Hard Rock veteras, Disciple, are back with album #13 titled Skeleton Psalms and I’m glad to see that they are going strong. Keeping it heavy for a bit, Deathcore/Metalcore band, UnWorthy, dropped a new EP titled Where Light Divides.
We also have new EPs by Jervis Campbell and Enyo. Jervis’ You Are My Love continues his signature folk-pop sound while new-comer Enyo’s Through The Years is a wonderful introduction to her as a singer-songwriter.
