Week 14&15: 01.04.2024 - 13.04.2024
A snapshot of the major music releases for the past two weeks.
Hi Pal,
I’ve had a full plate dealing with life stuff lately, so here are two weeks of new music releases combined into a short and sweet list.
Luna, Vol. II — Asaph’s Arrows
lofi (Album)
I get the sense that I have been talking up this album for a hot minute. If you liked Vol. 1, you would love Vol. 2 as well. If you somehow haven’t heard either one and you’re a fan of instrumental lofi, then you’re about to listen to an incredibly talented artist for the first time. Congrats.
Imminent Ocean — Civilized Creature, Earth & Oceans
Drum & Bass (Single)
I recently compiled Civilized Creature’s new singles into a private playlist so I can listen to them on repeat. His music is a thing of beauty for every electronic music geek out there and if there’s a new album on the way, it will be my favourite from him so far. These new singles have been that good.
Deserve — Jess Ray
Singer-songwriter, Alternative Folk (Single)
MATIN: Rest is a lovely EP that I still haven’t gotten enough of. From all indications, MATIN: Love is going to be another great release because this song is really good. I am a sucker for good EP series and artists like Jonathan Ogden and The Jonah Project have delivered that to me in the past. Jess Ray is on the way to joining that list.
Drop of Honey — Oaks, John Marc Kohl
Alternative, Acoustic Pop (Single)
Oaks are relatively new to the scene and these brothers are already making their mark in the alternative/indie scene. All the singles they have released so far have been really good and this is no exception, I am patiently waiting for an EP or LP from them.
No Middle Ground — Signum Regis
Melodic Power Metal (Single)
These Slovakian power metal stalwarts have never failed to impress with their unabashed and bold approach to Christian metal. The song feels like an outtake from their latest album, Undivided, which was one of the best albums of last year. If you love that, you will adore this tune.
Four Horses — Convictions
Metalcore (Single)
Speaking of unabashed and bold bands, especially in lyricism, you won’t need to look too far before mentioning Convictions on the metalcore scene. This is their second single of 2024 and from all indications, their next project is going to be powerful.
Jesus Friend Forever — Tekoa, Nathan Staggers
Alterntive Fusion (Single)
Tekoa continues to impress me with their ability to create different types of songs that defy strict genre pockets. They are capable of making upbeat tunes as well as intimate moments like what we have in this gorgeous tune.
Ambient Guitar, Vol. 1 — Still Worship, Andrew Osenga, Integrity’s Hosanna! Music
Ambient, Acoustic (Album)
Yeah, this one took me by surprise, but here we are. Andrew Osenga is the reason I decided to give this album a listen and I’m glad I did. It delivers on the balance between acoustic goodness and creating an ambient atmosphere. It’s a great listening experience.
solis — Anita Tatlow, Be Still The Earth
Ambient (Single)
For the ambient music lovers here, I always have you covered and we have another gem by Be Still The Earth and Anita Tatlow (one-half of Salt of The Sound). Discovering these artists over the last four years has changed my music listening experience and I hope it can do something similar for someone else out there.
That’s it for today.
Catch you at the next one!
Feel free to leave a comment. Also, I am always open to hearing from you so feel free to send an email to me at

Love this list. Praying the life stuff works out soon too!
